海角社区 Publishes Study On COVID-19 Mitigation In Home Health And Home Care Services

Today 海角社区 published 鈥淎n Outbreak Preparedness and Mitigation Approach in Home Health and Personal Home Care During the COVID-19 Pandemic鈥�听颈苍听Home Health Care Management & Practice, a leading peer-reviewed home health journal, that describes the methods used in our home health and home care affiliates to protect and care for clients, patients and employees from the novel Coronavirus.
Studies have shown that older populations with chronic medical conditions are the population most at risk of becoming severly ill from the acute respiratory disease COVID-19. Medicare beneficiaries who have these chronic conditions also make up the highest users of home health services. Brightspring鈥檚 home health and personal home care services provide care in 25 states. Shortly after the first COVID-19 case was reported in the U.S., a cross-functional team at 海角社区 (BHS), comprised of medical, clinical, compliance, risk management, human resources, legal, communications, and operations leaders, assembled to create an outbreak committee to develop and deploy a comprehensive prevention and suppression strategy to implement across the company.
